This one-of-a-kind Murano drinking glass born out of the fire in the famous ancient Murano glass furnaces will make you feel like you are dining in a classy canal-side Venetian restaurant. Festive colorful millefiori mosaics scattered against the silver-leaf-lined blue glass are offset by a solid aqua-colored wide rim for a trendy, artistic, and elegant look.

These unevenly shaped glasses are great for wine, water or soft drinks, highball cocktails, mixed drinks, and offer a perfect way to add famous Murano artistry and Venetian sophistication to your dining table. This gorgeous Venetian drinking glass, or a set of them, also makes a luxurious gift to the special people in your life, as it is truly a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

  • Measurements: The glass is approximately 4 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter in its widest part. It holds 12 oz or 350 ml of liquid.
  • This authentic Murano Glass tumbler was painstakingly created by hand using only traditional glass-making methods by a third-generation Murano maestro, whose work is displayed at exhibitions and in museums worldwide.
  • This Murano drinking glass is signed by the master. The attached sticker further proves its Murano origin, as does the certificate of authenticity that comes with the glass.
  • Because this item is a unique work of art made by hand, slight variations of colors, patterns, and shapes are possible.

Workmanship

Murano Glass drinking glasses, tumblers, and shot glasses made in Millefiori technique showcase the mastery of the local Murano artisans. Millefiori glass technique has ancient roots but Venetian masters perfected it and turned it into an art form. The artisan crafts each drinking glass from a shapeless blob of heated glass that is dipped into Millefiori glass pieces of various colors and designs, heated up in the furnace, then blown and shaped by the artisan using basic tools. In a multistep blowing, shaping, and re-heating process the glass takes on the color and design the master intended and the elegant Murano Glass tumbler or shot glass comes out of the shapeless glass as if by magic.
