This Murano glass pendant on a simple black cord is a unique creation of Venetian glass masters. The contemporary impressionist patterns and vibrant colors illuminated by gold have been inspired by the world-renowned works of Austrian painter Gustav Klimt. When the light falls on this pendant it really brings out all the shades of its gorgeous palette, and you can almost feel the beauty and decadence of Venice shining through it. Wear it to lift your mood and bring Venetian style into your daily life.
This pendant is approximately 2-1/4 inches tall by 1-1/2 inches wide in its widest part. It comes in a stylish velvet pouch and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The cord is included with this pendant.

Because each item is a unique work of art made by hand, slight variations of colors and patterns are possible.

I thought this was so different when I first saw it. I buy a lot of Murano jewelry and this lives up to my expectations.

Workmanship

Lampworking technique of glass-making, which dates back to ancient Egypt, was revived by Murano glass artisans around the fourteenth century. This technique is based on heating up a blob of glass under a small flame from a lamp or a torch until it reaches malleable state, then blowing and using simple tools or just hands to create various forms and designs. Lampworking allows the artisan's creativity to blossom, as copper sparkles, various minerals, and pieces of glass cane are fused together in this process to create rich colors and imaginative patterns that are always unique. Murano Glass masters often use lampworking method to create small jewelry, such as pendants, earrings, or rings, as well as keychains, barrettes, pillboxes, and figurines.
