Tiny flowers crafted from pieces of special glass canes and fused together under open flame demonstrate Murano artisans' incredible skill and fantasy. The beautiful delicate beads are crafted one at a time in a traditional way, using various minerals to create rich colors and elaborate patterns that are different every time.
Measurements: This Murano Glass bead has rondelle shape and measures slightly less than 5/8 inch in diameter and just over 3/8 inch in height. The diameter of the bead opening is 3/16 inch or 4 mm. The framing of the opening is made of solid .925 Sterling Silver. The words "Murano Italy" and the standard .925 Sterling Silver mark are etched into the silver frame. The bead comes with an attractive velvet pouch and the certificate of authenticity.
This charm bead is compatible with Pandora, Chamilia, Biagi, Troll and other interchangeable bead systems.

It all starts with crafting special Millefiori canes with a pattern inside, then cutting them into small pieces and carefully sorting them by hand inside a Murano Glass factory in Venice, Italy. The next step is making a Murano Glass bead by hand under a small flame. Then, while it is still hot, dipping the bead into the tray of tiny Millefiori pieces of appropriate colors to create a unique design and pattern. Lastly, the master reheats the bead again to make sure the Millefiori inclusions are completely infused into its surface, finalizes shaping it, and gradually cools it down. Thus, painstakingly, bead by bead, the artisans in Venice, Italy create Murano Glass Millefiori necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants, accessories, and other Venetian Glass pieces with beautiful mosaic patterns. This work has been going on for hundreds of years and today Murano Glass masters still use only basic tools and skills honed by decades of experience in their factories and workshops on Murano island.
