Flirty and stylish, these feminine Millefiori earrings are modern and classic at the same time. The tender orange beads with mosaic millefiori designs present the most popular and ancient Murano glass technique in a contemporary way.
Each bead measures about 3/8 inches in diameter. The ear-hooks are made of gold-plated surgical steel to ensure safety and lasting quality. The earrings come with an attractive velvet pouch and the certificate of authenticity.
Because each item is a unique work of art made by hand, slight variations of colors and patterns are possible.

I love orange! Bought orange watch when I was in Madrid last May. These earrings will match . I thought I bought enough Murano glass fashion jewelry when I was in Venice. Here I am buying more at a website. They came with certificates of authenticity and nice maroon pouches.

Workmanship

It all starts with crafting special Millefiori canes with a pattern inside, then cutting them into small pieces and carefully sorting them by hand inside a Murano Glass factory in Venice, Italy. The next step is making a Murano Glass bead by hand under a small flame. Then, while it is still hot, dipping the bead into the tray of tiny Millefiori pieces of appropriate colors to create a unique design and pattern. Lastly, the master reheats the bead again to make sure the Millefiori inclusions are completely infused into its surface, finalizes shaping it, and gradually cools it down. Thus, painstakingly, bead by bead, the artisans in Venice, Italy create Murano Glass Millefiori necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants, and other Venetian jewelry pieces with beautiful mosaic patterns. This work has been going on for hundreds of years and today Murano Glass masters still use only basic tools and skills honed by decades of experience in their factories and workshops on Murano island.
