MD_VASO_FEN_1 This Murano Glass Vase features exquisite flower blossom-inspired shape and lively pattern of streaks of warm yellows, reds, and aquamarine against transparent background. A generous sprinkling of gold-leaf particles infused in the glass completes the image of modern beauty and rich elegance. Hand-made in the family-owned Murano glassworks following the island's ancient glass-making tradition, this elegant Venetian vase will work well as a stylish accent to your interior design or as a functional piece to display your favorite flowers. Classic and elegant, this art glass vase also makes a perfect one-of-a-kind gift for momentous occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, or weddings.
Measurements: The Spring Blossom Murano Vase measures about 14 inches in height and 7 inches in width in its widest part. The diameter of the opening is just over 2 inches; the flat polished base is an oval measuring 2-1/2 x 2 inches. The weight is 7 lbs. The vase has a signature of the master on the bottom, the original sticker of the glassworks, and is accompanied by the certificate of authenticity. It is very well packaged to avoid damage in transit.
Because each glass piece is a unique work of art made by hand, slight variations of colors, patterns, and shapes are possible. There may also be small bubbles inside the glass. These are not defects, but the very characteristics by which one can recognize the best in authentic handcrafted Murano glass.

Striped glass looks beautiful and unique but how is it made? This was the long-kept secret of Murano Glass artisans, which is now out in the open, yet nowhere else can you find the same glass quality and designs that you see on Murano Island. Striped glass vases are crafted by putting a layer of thinning stretched heated glass on top of a hot glass object, then twisting and turning the object to achieve the intended overall design. Based on the speed of turning and the technique you can change the direction of the stripes and spacing between them making patterns from spirals to parallel lines. The object is then put into the furnace where the bottom and top layers of glass fuse together to form a unique and elegant Murano art glass piece.
