Stunning, elegant and unique, this Murano Glass Bowl is a great accent to any home decor theme. Handcrafted by top Murano Glass artisans from a small family workshop where complex techniques and secret glass-making methods get passed from one generation to another, this lovely bowl combines the best features of old Murano Glass tradition and contemporary Venetian artistic vision. In gorgeous shades of amber palette and with its flowing shape created using "Fazzoletto" or "handkerchief" method of shaping fabric-like folds from glass, this Murano bowl is a tribute to the ever-changing nature of the water. What's more, it will bring to mind the dancing reflections of magnificent palaces in Venetian canals, and the unique atmosphere of Venice, the sea-born queen of the Adriatic. This Venetian bowl makes a great gift for a special person on your life and for significant occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, or birthdays.
  • Measurements: The bowl is approximately 6 inches tall and 11 inches in diameter in its widest part.
  • This Murano glass masterpiece is signed by the master.
  • Attached sticker further proves its Murano origin, as does the certificate of authenticity that comes with the bowl.
  • Because each item is a unique work of art made by hand, slight variations of colors and patterns are possible.

Sbruffo is a distinctive Murano Glass design, which features rough-surfaces and multiple colors layered on top of each other. Sbruffo objects are made by putting layers of blown colored glass on top of a glass core, then breaking them off until just a thin and rough colorful layer on top remains. This process is then repeated over and over, until many rough layers are put on top of each other, creating an impression of flowing glass. The rough edges are then polished off. Using multiple colors and unique forms, the masters make tumblers, glasses, vases, bowls, and sculptures with sbruffo designs, which are instantly recognizable as authentic Murano Glass. Only a few Murano Glass factories and workshops still create sbruffo art glass objects, and many interior design aficionados, collectors, and Murano Glass fans seek these objects of refined beauty and distinct Italian elegance.
