This exquisite figurine of Three Roosters is artistic and unique - the perfect lighthearted accent to any home or office. Handcrafted in the furnaces of Murano Island in Venice, Italy, this Rooster Trio is created in keeping with the ancient traditions of Murano Glass art. The rich colors of the glass and the elegant curves molded by hand complete the look of elegance and sophistication. This delightful Murano Glass Roosters sculpture makes a wonderful artistic gift to anyone who loves handcrafted home accents, cute figurines, or is a collector of roosters or Murano Glass.

The figurine consists of three roosters joined together.

  • Measurements: The sculpture measures approximately 3-1/2 inches in height, 2-1/2 inches in width, and 3-1/2 inches in depth.
  • The figurine is handmade according to the ancient Murano Glass tradition in a family-owned glassmaking workshop on Murano island in Venice, Italy.
  • The Roosters family figurine is accompanied by the certificate of authenticity.
  • Because each Murano Glass piece is a unique work of art made by hand, slight variations of colors, patterns, and shapes are possible.

I bought this as a birthday (not Christmas) present for my favorite cousin who had the misfortune to be born on December 23rd! She phoned me from Kentucky to say that she loved the roosters. She was genuinely excited and as usual, Glass of Venice surpassed my expectations. Your glass is pretty pricy (I always look for the sales first!) but the quality is excellent.

Workmanship

Lampworking is one of the most recognized Murano Glass techniques, which is used by Venetian master artisans to create a variety of Murano glassware such as sculptures, figurines, jewelry and more under a small flame by manipulating special Murano Glass canes and working with basic instruments to achieve elaborate and artistic designs limited only by the artisan's imagination. Making each figurine one at a time, finely crafting every detail, the Venetian masters demonstrate impressive skill and artistic talent, the signature features of authentic Murano Glass.
